Hunter Health to Provide COVID-19 Vaccine to Indigenous Peoples Age 55+

Hunter Health will begin providing COVID-19 vaccinations to the Indigenous Peoples community age 55+ on a first-come, first serve basis beginning on Tuesday, January 19 at the Central Clinic located at 527 N Grove, Wichita, KS 67214.  There will be no out-of-pocket cost for the vaccine, and you do not need to be a current patient of Hunter Health. Individuals must provide Native American verification.

Hunter Health See's an Increase in COVID-19 Testing

Medical professionals tell KSN News that October is setting a record in Sedgwick County for residents requesting a COVID-19 test. Hunter Health Clinic said that during the month of August, 692 people were tested for COVID-19. This month so far, 987 people received a test.

Hunter Health Navigators Are Here and Ready to Register Kansans For the 2021 Health Insurance Marketplace

Kansans looking for health insurance have two weeks to shop for the 2021 coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace. Hunter Health Clinic has Kansas Navigators who are certified to provide unbiased information to help consumers enroll in the Health Insurance Marketplace. Navigators can assist consumers with the online application process and help Kansans compare plans to find the best fit. Open Enrollment for 2021 runs from November 1 through December 15, 2020.

Community Health Clinics of Wichita Fight to Keep 340B Drug Pricing Program Essential to Low-Income Kansans.

The safety net of community health centers across the state, which includes GraceMed Health Clinic, HealthCore Clinic, and Hunter Health, provides whole-body care to Kansans, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. These clinics provide medical, dental, behavioral health, and substance use disorder services to almost hundreds of thousands of individuals across the state. These predominantly low-income patients also receive enabling services such as transportation and case management.
