Who I Am
I was born in South Korea, and was adopted and moved to America as a young child. I have always had a passion for medicine and was originally pre-med in college. Then, my father’s battle with acute myeloid leukemia inspired me to go into nursing. I had the pleasure of walking beside him during hospice. So, nurse practitioner seemed a good balance of both medicine and nursing.
Healthcare Specialty
Primary care with some joint and skin office procedures.
Experience
I received my Master’s Degree in Science for Family Nurse Practitioner from Washburn University, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Wichita State University. I have worked in occupational health, pediatric hematology/oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant, and teaching nursing prior to joining Hunter Health in 2015.
Why Hunter Health?
It has been a great learning experience, and primary care allows me to get to know my patients on a personal level while treating their medical needs.
