We proudly celebrated a memorable and meaningful evening on April 23, 2026, at the Wichita Chamber Honors Night, where we received the prestigious “Over the Years” Award.
This award recognizes organizations that have made a lasting impact on the Wichita community through sustained commitment, growth, and service. For us, it reflects decades of devotion to improving health outcomes and increasing access to care in the Wichita community.
The evening brought together our staff, board members, and community partners, along with special guests whose presence highlighted our rich history. We were especially honored to celebrate alongside members of our founding families, including Ryan Dyer, son of our founding physician, Dr. Vernon Dyer; Sloane Dyer, Dr. Dyer’s granddaughter; and John Hunter, grandson of our namesakes, Jay and Vera Hunter. Their presence served as a strong reminder of our roots and the legacy that continues to shape our mission today.
Our CEO, Amy Feimer, accepted the award on our behalf. In her speech, Amy thanked our dedicated staff, board members, and community partners for their ongoing commitment and passion. She emphasized that this recognition is not just about what we’ve accomplished, but about the people who continue to drive our work forward every day.
“This recognition is truly a reflection of our people and our community,” Amy shared. “It honors where we’ve been, but also inspires where we’re going.”
She also invited those in attendance to join our next chapter, highlighting our continued growth and vision for the future, including the upcoming opening of the Central to Wellness Center at the corner of Central and Grove.
The evening was a moment years in the making, a chance to pause and reflect on our journey while celebrating the work still ahead. Sharing it alongside those who helped build our foundation made it especially meaningful.
