The Mabee Foundation Awarded Challenge Grant to Hunter Health

Hunter Health is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a generous challenge grant from the Mabee Foundation. The Mabee Foundation is known for its commitment to funding new construction, building renovations, and the purchase of major medical equipment for nonprofit organizations since 1948. The partnership will empower Hunter Health to make significant strides in improving the health and wellbeing of everyone in the community.

With this challenge grant, Hunter Health is announcing the public start of its Central to Wellness Capital Campaign. Over the last year, Hunter Health has focused on improving its corner of Central and Grove. This Mabee funding serves as a catalyst for launching the final project in the capital campaign, the Hunter Health Community Wellness Center, located on Hunter Health’s Central Campus. The organization will have until October 8, 2025 to raise the remaining $5,029,998 to complete the campaign.

The Community Wellness Center further advances Hunter Health’s mission to improve the health and wellbeing of everyone in our community by bringing together partners from across the community to provide services that address not only health, but also the socio-economic issues that affect health in our 67214 zip code.

“We are deeply honored and grateful for the support of the Mabee Foundation. This challenged grant will have a lasting impact on our ability to holistically address the health in our community,” said Amy Feimer, President and CEO. “We are excited about the Central to Wellness Capital Campaign and are confident that the Wichita community will respond generously so that we will meet the Mabee challenge.”
