Hunter Health to Host COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic to Individuals Ages 18+

WICHITA, KS – In anticipation of more COVID-19 vaccine doses being available and trying to get more of our community vaccinated, Hunter Health will be holding a COVID-19 vaccination clinic for anyone ages 18 and older on Saturday, March 27, and providing the Moderna vaccine to more than one-thousand people.

The vaccination clinic will take place from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Central Clinic located at 527 N. Grove Wichita, KS 67214. There will be no out-of-pocket cost for the vaccine, but you do need to bring your insurance card if you have health insurance. Individuals are strongly encouraged to wear a short-sleeve shirt to allow easy access to the arm.

Interested individuals must make an appointment for the vaccination clinic. To schedule your vaccination, please visit:

Hunter Health’s Outreach Team has already been spreading the word about the event in zip codes with a higher-than-average population of community members who are underserved and disproportionately affected by COVID-19. “We must prioritize underserved communities to receive these COVID-19 vaccines.   The pandemic has disproportionately affected underserved communities, particularly those of color. Engaging with vulnerable groups for the vaccine will have lasting impact on health outcomes by improving the long-term health of underserved patients,” said Tara Nolen, Community Health Manager.

According to the CDC, “The highest percent of COVID-19 cases are among non-Hispanic White people. Among people aged less than 50 years, and notably among children aged less than 18 years, a noticeably higher percentage of COVID-19 cases is among Hispanic or Latino people compared with the percent of the total U.S. population.
