Hunter Health Receives Studer Group Medical Group of the Quarter Award
Since beginning our journey with Studer Group in 2016, Hunter Health has realized a number of organizational infrastructure improvements and we continue to raise the bar with our evidence-based leadership development system. Hunter Health is committed to quality improvement and patient-centered care.
In 2018, Hunter Health completed a 22,000 square foot building project to replace the former 70+ year old clinic facility. This project has delivered an enhanced environment for patients and employees. Patients now have access to multiple services under one roof, reducing barriers to care. The new building has doubled our capacity to serve patients. We added two full-time behavioral health consultants, two full-time dentists and six full-time dental assistants to our clinic staff. We also added onsite pharmacy and we are working to launch optometry and radiology services in 2019.
Hunter Health has an organizational goal to be the employer of choice for those who share our passion and dedication to the mission. In August 2018, we received a 66% employee engagement score, putting Hunter Health in the 80th percentile for healthcare organizations across the United States. This score reflects the collaborative efforts of our entire team working to create an environment that supports our commitment to excellence.
Most recently, Hunter Health was recognized by the Health Resources and Services Administration as a 2019 Quality Improvement Award recipient. These awards specifically recognize the highest performing health centers nationwide as well as those that have made significant quality improvement gains from the previous year. Hunter Health was recognized in two award areas: Improving Quality of Care and Advancing Health Information Technology.
